harleville-Mezieres is where the famous poet Arthur Rimbault was born. It has become the world capital of puppets and holds a puppet festival for a week in September. The, so-called ”new” town from the seventeenth century has beautiful streets. The Ducale place, the Ardennes museum, the ramparts, the Notre-Dame of hope Basilica and the international institute of puppets are some of the attractions to see. Charleville-Mezieres is in the middle of the Ardennes forest and attracts tourists on the rivers.
